News aggregreator

Hanging out with Greg and Renee Blodgett, getting briefed on new developments with Newsgator. Very interesting stuff.

What I like about grass roots companies like Newsgator and Magnatune ("Internet Music Without the Guilt") is that they're rebuilding their industries by helping build a whole new grounds-up infrastructure.

Teach on!

Digital Democracy Teach-In:

O'Reilly will host the Digital Democracy Teach-In on Monday, Febrary 9, nigh upon the Emerging Technology show in San Diego. If you want to know more about what we're learning so far about this new Net-enabled phenomenon, come on down. A lot of terrific people are involved in this thing. Highly recommended.

Lost Vagueness

Got in at 10:53am yesterday, with lots of plans about what I needed to cram into the day after I dropped my stuff off at the hotel. At 4:30 I finally arrived in my room, at a hotel so far out of town it might be in Utah. There's a long story about what happened between those two events (the lost notes, the endless phone calls, the hotel that changed its name everywhere but on its building, yada &c.). But I've got a day at CES to start, I'm on dial-up here, and I'm late for my first meeting.

So I gotta go.
