DIY Supply and demand
Just went looking for a quote about today's networked marketplace, using both Adam Smith and Karl Marx as search terms. Found this:
The World Wide Web's strange new economy is where Adam Smith and Karl Marx finally meet. For Smith the Internet provides a "simple system of natural liberty [that] establishes itself of its own accord," and for Marx it finally puts the means of production in the hands of the workers. In other words, it achieves the irony of capital-free capitalism: enterprise so free that it requires almost zero capital to start and run a new business.
Grounds
So I'm sitting here at a Starbucks, noticing that the excellent Barista Espresso Machine and Grinder are both on sale.
Here's my bad set of directions for using them, which I'll improve with graphics that aren't oversised and sideways, one of these days. (And perhaps, because I need prodding, by request. So if you want'em, let me know.)
Me 2
Oncee: I've been reading too much Doc Searls.

Just posted Report from the Identity Hatchery over at IT Garage. The music in my head is "Something's Coming", from West Side Story.
