She's got my vote
Somebody help Sheila find a blues bar while she's waiting to win her award this week in Chicago.
Pacing the Panther
Britt suggested that I might get Starry Night to work if I set up a new user and used fast switching to get over to the new user mode, where he guessed that Starry Night would work.
He was right.
I killed all the prefs for Starry Night in my regular user space, but it hasn't helped. The program still works for New User, but not for me. Weird.
Listen even more closely
I've listened to Chris Lydon's interviews of Sterling Newberry several times now. I've even transcribed most of the first one, because I think it's important for somebody to write this stuff down. (When I'm done I'll send them to him or to Chris so one of them can put up somewhere.)
I suggest listening to the second one first, since the first one spends a lot of time on the Clark Campaign, which is an interesting topic but also a relatively narrow one. His insights are the kind that make you say to yourself Yes! That's it. Even when you disagree a bit. The man really gets it.
Way to grow, baby
It's my firstborn's birthday today. She's an outstanding theatre director, smart as a whip, beautiful, funny and a privilege to know and love better every year.
