Wahoo Wah

Way to go, Virginia. (My cousin Andy Heck, recently retired from the Redskins, is a graduate assistant with the team.)

Flying low

Heading out this afternoon to fly the kid's new Firebird II. The first effort failed 'cuz the battery wasn't charged enough.

I think we're going to go fly in the big field west of Harder Stadium here.

Keep trying, even if you succeed

On the 18th, Mike Sanders said he was hanging up blogging. The post is still there

We miss ya, Mike.

(Looking forward to the 12/31 scheduled return of the Reverse Cowgirl too.)

Deperfection

Good short homily in Joho the Blog this morning. The quotable excerpt:

A: All of them.

"Always make new mistakes," Esther Dyson says. And give yourself some slack for making a habit of the old ones.

Bomb blogging

Glen Campbell responds to yesterday's piece about the role of The Bomb in the end of WWII. Here's Chuqui. Also Bill Quick.

And here's a mind-blower from Leonid.
