Dysapparencies

For most of its history, Enron appeared to be a relatively normal large, successful company. Since its imposion this last year, it increasingly appears to have been a very dishonest company as well. While I was driving around the Bay Area yesterday, I heard somebody with an Indian accent, a guest on a show, claim that Enron did far more damage to India than it allegedly did to California.

So I went to Google with a few words and numbers I had remembered from that broadcast, did a search and found this. Interesting stuff, in light of this and this.

Have you noticed how quiet Dick Cheney has been lately? Kinda makes ya wonder.

Slashdot reports that Yahoo is even worse than it appears.

Bloggers' Ball

Had a great time at lunch with a bunch of bloggers and fellow travellers yesterday in Yerba Buena Gardens atop Moscone North in San Francisco. I shot a bunch of stills with the camcorder, too.
