And knowing the difference

Chris Nolan:

The issue here isn't protection. It never is. It's about control. Who gets to say what's safe on the Internet and when it can be read, said, heard or seen? The issue is how much and under what circumstances should the government be allowed to interfere in our on-line lives and our lives are increasingly being lived on-line. Unless, of course, you hold elected office in Washington. There, well, there the Internet is a scary place fllled with this good Americans hate: Porn, Bloggers who will say anything and terrorist who will do anything.

Turns out it's only in a coma

Until I saw this, I thought this blog was dead.

Big Mack Attack

Well damn. I go and point to yesterday, and I call him "Mark Collier." Now he writes, among less polite things, My name isn't Mark Collier.

Which it isn't. Though not obviously.

Because here's what his byline looks like on my laptop:

Mack Collier

Okay, I'm getting old and stuff, but I'd say that's a hard read at any age.

In fact, I wish to leverage this post into a rant about the ittybitty type default on so many blogs, even including the WordPress template I use here. I hate that.

As for Mack... Dude. My apologies. And a small suggestion: Start signing your stuff in red or blue or something. Drop the gray. Might help.
