Not just bubkes
As I was just reminded over at IT Garage, Steve Lewis' Bubkes blog is back on the air. The latest post is a report on his trip to Sofia, via Prague.
Shifting Moody
After dismissing blogs as "little more than personal Web pages," Glyn Moody at Netcraft weighs in with a piece about blogging and syndication. He synopsizes the forkage between RSS and Atom (and the successes of each) then adds,
Happily, this two-track approach is unlikely to lead to yet another formats war: Atom has widespread support from companies, including Blogger, which is owned by Google, and from top names of the blogosphere - even Dave Winer, although he naturally wants RSS 2.0 to be supported too. Moreover, it is relatively straightforward to convert between the two XML applications - FeedBurner will even do it for you.
He goes on to say he likes some stuff that Atom does, but adds that he welcomes comments. So let him have some.
