Californians are more interested in politics than the rest of us and enjoy elections and I trust that the movement to recall Gov. Davis' successor will begin as soon as he is sworn in. The simple truth is that liberal Democrats changed America in basic ways that conservative Republicans will never reverse, in expanding government services, in health care for the elderly and indigent, and in equal opportunity for blacks and for women. Those were liberal crusades, and the country won't go back on them. Republicans talk about hardball and it's all for show. Republicans today are more liberal than the Democrats of the New Deal: They're adding to Medicare, not repealing it, and they're expanding aid to education, and they've moved far to the left on most social issues. They've voted again and again to expand government. All of the rough talk is to keep their base happy and to amuse the media; when it comes to actual voting, they're more like Democrats than not. And women and racial minorities are part of America, with the same rights as anybody else, and sexism and bigotry are not practiced by decent people. That's a big change from when I was young, and liberals brought it about, and it's here for good.
there is a friggin' Iraqi idiot now on Jazeera saying that the security responsibility should be given over to the Iraqi Governing Council. Fuck off, this is not about American presence in Iraq. these attacks have nothing to do with the so called resistance. These are fucking idiots who destroying all the efforts to help this country get back on it's feet. the fucking Governing Council could not control this mess the moment the Coalition Forces move out we are plunged in chaos. We have entered a dark dark tunnel and we have no idea what will happen now...
I am plunging into a fucking depression, do we have a future? is this country going to be hijacked by shit extremists who want to prove a point?
