A day of Rogaine for your palms

Tomorrow is Wank Holiday Monday.

Thanks for the pointer goes to a friend who wouldn't put this thing on his own blog. (Probably because he has, um, "work" to do tomorrow.)

Meanwhile, you can still prove you're a man.

NYFi

It's our anniversary, so we're not going to be doing much wi-fi exploring in the city today. Mostly we'll take advantage of babysitting and a break in the gloomy weather.

By the way, most of the wi-fi signals I picked up yesterday appeared to be open; and the half dozen or so I could check (most of them I picked up riding around in a cab) all appeared to be useful (in fact I used three or four of them).

One other note. The only strong signals ones were deliberately trying to serve public spaces, which is one of the main ideas behind NYCwireless. All but one of the signals I heard yesterday appeared to come from homes or private providers (Verizon, tMobile) in public or nearly-public places (e.g. Starbucks).

This completes coverage of the story on this blog, by the way. Look for more in Linux Journal and my blog over there.
