Lap dance
Just one piece of news: Sun, now officially a Linux Company, will launch a Linux desktop workstation at their own show at Moscone in September. Can't find a link for the story, though.
At LinuxWorld there is a surprisingly persistent sense that Linux will become a popular desktop OS. One source of this faith is alpha GNOME developer and Ximian co-founder Nat Friedman. He's using a Titanium now, but he's convinced that Linux on the Laptop had serious chances of becoming a Big Thing. Hope he's right.
